Project Overview
Hop Doddy's Burger Bar selected Texas Electric and Light to handle the full commercial electrical installation for their new Pflugerville location. This is a complete tenant improvement project — taking the space from shell condition through a fully operational restaurant ready for opening.
Hop Doddy's is one of Austin's most recognized restaurant brands, known for their high-quality burger concept and distinctive dining experience. Their Pflugerville location demanded the same level of electrical craftsmanship and attention to detail that defines every aspect of their brand — from the kitchen systems that power their line to the lighting that sets the tone for the dining room.
Texas Electric and Light is managing the complete electrical scope — coordinating with the general contractor throughout rough-in and trim-out phases, working with Oncor for utility service, and ensuring all systems are permitted, inspected, and ready for the health department and final certificate of occupancy.

High-Demand Commercial Kitchen
Hop Doddy's operates a high-volume burger kitchen with significant electrical loads — commercial fryers, griddles, and refrigeration all require dedicated circuits with proper amperage. Careful load calculations and panel sizing ensure the kitchen can run at full capacity without issues.
Brand Lighting Standards
Hop Doddy's has specific lighting design standards that define their dining room atmosphere. Coordinating with their design team and the GC to hit the right fixture locations, dimming capability, and circuit layout requires detailed planning during rough-in.
Opening Timeline Coordination
Restaurant openings run on tight schedules. Our work has to coordinate with the GC, kitchen equipment vendor, HVAC contractor, and the city inspection schedule to ensure nothing holds up the certificate of occupancy.
