These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by Texas Electric and Light ("we," "us," or "our"). By using our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Service Hours and Rates
Standard Service Hours
Our standard service hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Services performed during these hours are billed at our standard rates.
After-Hours Service
After-hours services (between 5:00 PM and 8:00 AM on weekdays, weekends, and holidays) are available but may incur additional charges. After-hours rates will be clearly communicated before service begins.
Emergency Services
Emergency services are available 24/7. Emergency service rates apply to:
- Power outages
- Electrical hazards
- Burning odors from electrical systems
- Sparking or smoking electrical components
Scheduling and Cancellations
We require 24-hour notice for service cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a service fee.
For emergency services, we strive to respond within 60-90 minutes of your call.
Estimates and Pricing
Written estimates are provided for all major electrical work. Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.
Additional charges may apply if:
- Additional problems are discovered during service
- Access to work areas is restricted
- Special equipment or materials are required
- After-hours or emergency service is needed
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We accept:
- Cash
- Credit/Debit Cards
- Checks (for established customers)
For larger projects:
- 50% deposit may be required to schedule work
- Progress payments for extended projects
- Final payment due upon completion
Permits and Inspections
When required by law or local regulations, we will obtain necessary permits and inspections. Customer agrees to:
- Pay permit fees (if not included in estimate)
- Provide access for inspections
- Cooperate with inspection requirements
All work is performed to meet or exceed current electrical codes.
Work Authorization
By scheduling service, you authorize:
- Access to work areas
- Use of electricity and facilities
- Performance of necessary repairs
- Disposal of old materials
Liability and Insurance
We maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including:
- General Liability Insurance
- Workers' Compensation
- Professional Liability Coverage
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
